Curcuma zedoaria is a herb common in India. It is also,found in South East Asia and China.
This plant is a member of Zingiberaceae plant family.
This is a tuberous perrenial herb. The leaves are radical broadly elliptic-lanceolalate glaborous.The flowers are pinkish white. The rhizomes are yellowish white in colour with mango type smell. The flowering season is from
June to November.
Usage:
In Ayurveda the rhizomes are used for treatment of sprains, bruises and skin diseases.
In India it is used as fresh pickle. It is believed t be good blood purifier.
