Andrographis paniculata is a plant common in India It is commonly found south India.
This plant is a member of Acanthaceae plant family.
This is an eract herb or
under shrub. It is stout and glabrous. It grows to a height of about 90 cms. The leaves are
eliptic-lanceolate.The flowers are creamy white with light purple or pink streaks within. The flowering
season isAugust to October.
Usage:
In Ayurveda the leaves, seeds and the roots are used for treatment of general debility, diarrhoea, dysentry, and dispepsia.
